Requirements

Blackbird is looking for positive, experienced full service restaurant + pub servers for our Summer season! This is a summertime tipped position. Your sales and service ability dictate what you make. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced team oriented workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will to provide high-quality service that keeps our guests coming back for more!


  • Server Responsibilities:

    • Ability to sell, and take food and drink orders from your guests accurately and with a positive attitude in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

    • Enter orders into computers and pace courses to kitchen staff.

    • Knowledge of the food, beer, wine and cocktail menu, with the ability to make suggestions.

    • Have fun, while ensuring your guests are enjoying their meals.

    • Have ownership over your guests experiences, and take action to correct any problems.

    • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes and collect payment. Cash till is required.

    • Ability to assist with side work duties before, during and after shift.


    Server Requirements:

    • Experience serving in a full service restaurant required.

    • Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks.

    • Ability to balance food on trays to deliver food and drinks to tables.

    • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with dining room assistants, runners, kitchen staff and managers. Work as a team player to ensure all of our guests have a great time.

    • Invest in your personal growth, learning new things to increase your knowledge and ability to deliver a great experience to your guests

    • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.

    • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely, and to resolve issues as they come up or work with managers to resolve.
