REQUIREMENTS

  • The desire to work.

  • Be at least 18 years of age and can legally work in the United States.

  • Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends.

  • Previous Restaurant cooking experience preferred.

  • Ability to twist, bend, stand and lift heavy items of 50 + pounds.

  • Any culinary certifications or Servsafe certifications a plus.

  • Ability to read write and speak english fluently.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

  • Be ready to work in a culture where we are courteous and respectful to our fellow comrades and service staff.



RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for culinary stations assigned.

  • Prepares, seasons, finishes all menu items according to the recipes.

  • Basic knife skills.

  • Dependable and accountable to consistently execute all open/close duties.

  • Ensures that all stations are clean and that all food is sealed, dated and handled according to health department guidelines and Blackbird standard.

  • Arrives on time, dressed in a clean uniform and well groomed ready to work.

  • Admits and corrects mistakes quickly without sacrificing quality.

  • Can handle constructive feedback and believes honesty is the best policy.

  • Wants to learn and be a part of a dynamic team culture

  • Ability to communicate as a team.

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner

  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications

  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently

  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation

  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment

  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift

  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
