The Blackbird Waterhouse in Coloma is looking for an ambitious host and dining room assistant to join our team for the Summer!
REQUIREMENTS
The desire to hustle and be at least 16+ years of age and can legally work in the United States. .
Flexibility to work holidays, nights and weekends.
Prior experience at a restaurant a plus, but not required
Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented and fast paced environment - leave the drama at the door
Excellent communication skills and ability to talk to customers in a professional manner
Ability to learn a computer system and pace seating - these roles partner with our hosts
Bus tables promptly to ensure the dining room is clean
Be able to answer the phone + take to go orders, make reservations
Ensure tables are clean so we can seat the next guests

Plan for and deliver a positive and personal experience for all guests at The Blackbird Waterhouse. Treat staff and guests throughout restaurant as you wish to be treated, yourself. At Blackbird, we work in teams, which means we work together to make sure every guest has a great experience. Be prepared to be a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Thanks all guests when they’re finished dining and inquires about their experience.
Arrives on time, dressed in uniform, ready to work.
Buses all sections and is motivated to continually keep all areas of the restaurant clean.
Dependable and accountable to consistently execute open/close duties.
Admits mistakes, believes honesty is the best policy and learns.
Works well with others and can leave outside drama at the door.
When needed: Always answers the phone promptly, kindly and has accurate knowledge of our hours, policies, weekly specials and events; eventually will place to go orders and manage carryout curbside delivery. Records detailed messages for management when necessary.
Learn and uses our reservation system to seat guests promptly
Learns to communicate with the kitchen and food/ drink runners and servers to ensure we are pacing seating properly to not over burden the system
Participants in side work duties with the team
